Three years ago today my little sister was in a horrible car accident while working abroad in New Zealand. We didn’t know if she would recover at all and it was an incredibly scary and heartbreaking experience for our family. Thankfully, in the past three years she has made an amazing recovery and if you met her today you would never imagine she was once on life support.
When I was last visiting her in Kentucky I took the opportunity to photograph her in her element, with horses. She has recently taken up driving and has quickly fallen in love with the sport. This post is to share with everyone who has been following her recovery since day one.

I’m so glad she’s in such a beautiful place and is able to be involved with her life passion, horses.
